  • Overview:

    Techfury Video Systems is proud to introduce our new Eight Channel High-Definition Digital Video and Audio Recording System with GPS Overlay. The TF-TDR8-HD is our next generation of Tactical Data Recorders specifically designed for Aerial, Ground and Naval applications including Aerial Refueling, Mission Recording / Debriefing, Pilot Training, SAR, Military / Defense and LEA’s.

    The TF-TDR8-HD is capable of recording EIGHT independent HD-SDI, 3G-SDI or SDI signals (H.264 or H.265) from a variety of video input options ranging from FLIR, Westcam, Imperx CMOS Cameras, Marshall Industries, HD Block Cameras and/or any SDI camera on the market including Techfury’s TF-HCF-CAM, TF-GS-CAM, TF-HDCAM, TF-3G-SDI-CAM Cameras.

    In addition to high-definition video, the TF-TDR8-HD can accept a single stereo or mono audio input (G.711 / AAC) from an audio panel or headset which is synchronized with video during playback. Overlay GPS data such as coordinates, speed, altitude, bearing, time and date on the video. A text overlay option is also available per channel. Embedded KLV Metadata support.

  • Media Storage - Internal & External

    Unlike other DVR's on the market, the TF-TDR8-HD has a unique video back-up system which allows the user to simultaneously record all video and audio files to an internal storage drive and external USB drives for all channel. Two channels are recorded per memory drive. The internal memory drive can be used as a secure redundant media storage for all recorded files while the removable external USB drive can be used for day-to-day operations. The internal memory drives comes with 32GB of storage as standard but can be increased upon request up to 2TB.  When the media drives are full, they will record over the first file on the drive preserving the most current files. As an added security feature, the internal memory can only be accessed via the password protected GUI by connecting the DVR to a computer. An external USB drive is required to make a recording.

  • GPS Overlay Parameters:

    The TF-TDR8-HD offers a single GPS input as a standard option which allows for serial GPS data to be overlaid directly on all video stream. A user can choose to overlay GPS parameters such as coordinates, speed, altitude, bearing, time/date anywhere on the video frame for each channel.

  • No Video Loss or Corrupted Files

    The TF-TDR8-HD has a built-in robust video loss prevention system which will save all recorded files to the internal and external media drives without any chance of file corruption or video loss due to power or video interuptions. Unlike other DVR’s on the market, the TDR8-HD will save all recorded files regardless of power and video interruptions without creating temporary or corrupted files. This feature is specifically designed to prevent video files from being lost due to a power or video interruption during flights. In an event of power or video loss to the DVR, the current recorded file is closed immediately and saved to the internal memory and external media drives. Once power or video is restored to the DVR, it will automatically continue recording to a separate file.

  • External Record Switch

    Recording Video, Audio and other data can be initiated and stopped using the record switch on the front panel switch. This switch can also be remoted via the rear panel connector to another physical location. Recording videos can also be initiated via the Web GUI.

    A TF-EXT-REC-ASSY is an optional accessory for the TF-TDR8-HD. This unit will allow the user to remote the record switch to a desired location up to 100ft from the TF-TDR8-HD. The built in record and power LEDs are used to monitor the DVR operation assuring the user the system is functioning properly. 

  • Built to Last!

    The TF-TDR8-HD uses our new Ruggedized Modular Enclosure made from 7075 aluminum specifically designed for easy installation and operation in any environment and/or application. Using standard BNC connectors for video I/O and rugged MIL-SPEC 38999 Series connectors for audio, communications, GPS, and power, the TF-TDR8-HD is made to be a simple plug and play system. A standard 3-pin MIL-SPEC locking power connector is used to supply the system with 12-36VDC power which prevents any power loss under heavy vibrations. Use the built-in J-hooks on the front panel or multiple mounting points on the top and bottom of the enclosure for quick and simple installation. Custom mounting points can be added upon request.
